Khanna, the man behind Fresh Orthodontics, knew he wanted to be a dentist since his high school years in North Carolina.
He was one of three students accepte.
d into a guaranteed admission program at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia.
That’s right, he got into dental school as a senior in high school…nerd alert, indeed.
At VCU, he earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry with a minor in religious studies while on a full academic scholarship.
He decided to forge ahead with his education and obtained his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia.
During that time, Dr.
Khanna also received his master’s degree in Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine on another academic scholarship.
Following his time at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr.
Khanna made his to way to New York City where he studied orthodontics at New York University and served as the chief resident.
After residency, Dr.
Khanna worked in orthodontic practices in Manhattan, Brooklyn and the surrounding tri-state area.
In addition to launching Fresh Orthodontics, Dr.
Khanna holds an attending teaching position in the dental residency program at New York Methodist Hospital and is the only Orthodontist on the Board of Trustees for the Brooklyn Second District Dental Society.
